Overview
Warriors Heart provides private treatment to adult men and women (18 and older) who are seeking inpatient for chemical dependencies and co-occurring psychological disorders relating to PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder) and/or psychological effects of MTBI (mild traumatic brain injury). These are the men and women who are currently active and veteran members from organizations whose protect and serve the citizens of the United States (e.g, Army, Navy, Marine, Air Force, Law Enforcement, Fire, Paramedics, First Responders, Hospital Personnel, Civilian Warriors and the like). Warriors Heart is a community of elder warriors, healers and support staff united in the battle of addiction and PTSD. Together, we serve and support our warriors who are still suffering and their loved ones.

Sometimes healing doesn’t start in a therapy room.
In this episode of the Warriors Heart Podcast, our K9 Program Manager shares her personal journey through trauma, PTSD, and the moment everything changed, when her service dog, Otis, stepped in and helped save her life.
What started as survival became purpose. Now, she helps other warriors rebuild confidence, routine, and connection through the K9 Program.
This is a powerful conversation about healing, resilience, and the bond between humans and dogs.

Day one… they walk in carrying everything.
Broken. Tired. Unsure if anything will actually change.
And then something shifts.
Over 42 days, you start to see it
the weight lift, the walls come down…
Until one day, it happens.
That light comes back on.
And suddenly, every hard moment, every long day, every challenge,
it’s all worth it.
Warriors Heart was proud to be part of the Texas Crisis Intervention Team Association Annual Conference, connecting with agencies, building partnerships, and expanding awareness for the warrior class.
From correctional system trainers to referral partners, the conversations we had will help bring life-saving resources to those who need them most.
This is how the mission grows.
Warriors healing warriors.

She thought it was everything she wanted.
The deployment. The mission. The purpose.
But some experiences don’t leave you when you come home.
“They become the nightmares.”
This is the part of the story people don’t always see,
how trauma builds, how it lingers, and how it can push someone to the edge.
You’re not alone in that.

Somewhere along the way, we forget what it feels like to slow down.
To breathe. To just be.
Out here, it comes back naturally.
This Earth Day, we’re reminded that healing doesn’t just happen inside four walls, it happens in the quiet, in the open, in the moments where you can finally reconnect.
Reconnect. Reset. Heal. 🌎

She was lying about her drinking.
Showing up. Functioning. Hiding it.
Until she couldn’t anymore.
“If you send me home… I will die.”
This episode is raw, real, and a reminder that addiction doesn’t always look the way you think it does.
If you think you’re hiding it… you’re not.
And no matter how unworthy you feel,
you are worthy of getting your life back.
You don’t have to do this alone.

California sober isn’t sober.
We know this might not be a popular take, but recovery isn’t about what’s popular. It’s about what’s real.
If something is still being used to cope, numb, or escape, then the root issue hasn’t been addressed.
True sobriety means showing up fully, mentally, emotionally, and physically, without needing a substance to get through it.
No shortcuts. No substitutions. No days off.
Not even on 4/20.
If you’re struggling, you’re not alone. There is another way.

This isn’t just rehab.
At Warriors Heart, we give you the tools to become a sober, confident warrior.
This is about doing the work.
This is about showing up.
This is about building a life you’re proud of.
If you’re ready, we’re here.
Welcome Home. 🇺🇸

“What’s the point?”
It’s a question more warriors ask than most people realize.
When the mission is gone… when the structure is gone… when everything feels quiet, that’s when the thoughts get loud.
“No one cares.”
“I have no purpose.”
“There’s nothing to live for.”
This episode speaks directly to that moment.
Because purpose doesn’t disappear, sometimes it just gets buried.

Purple Up Day 💜
Today is about the kids.
The ones who grow up learning strength early.
The ones who say goodbye more times than they should have to.
The ones who carry pride… and sometimes worry… quietly.
They don’t wear the uniform.
But they carry it too.
At Warriors Heart, we serve those who serve, and we see every day how that service impacts the people around them.
Today, we honor the strength of military children.
