We are pleased to announce that Dr. Jason Lang, M.D. has joined Down East Orthopedics! Dr. Lang is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee replacement surgery. Dr. Lang is an experienced surgeon, with 9 years at the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Wake Forest University and 9 years at EmergeOrtho, Blue Ridge Division. He is currently accepting new patients and has great availability in his schedule. Bringing the latest in knee replacement surgery to Bangor, ME!

Here at Downeast Surgery Center we are excited to announce that we have begun to use the ROSA Robotic Knee Replacement System. The ROSA provides soft tissue feedback, accurate bone resections, and collects intra-operative metrics for the best outcome for each patient. This system was designed by surgeons for surgeons, delivering the most accurate measurements using 2D to 3D Technology.

Another session of our Learn to Play is beginning January 3rd and thanks to the continued amazing support of Down East Orthopedics it is FREE to register! Players will need to be USA hockey registered and have full hockey gear.

Some gear may be available to purchase from the Piscataquis County Ice Arena or also at Gunn's Sport Shop in Brewer!
