✨ Our OT students (along with Dr. Lauren Fysh) presented their incredible work at the MEOTA Conference, showcasing a companion manual to MUSER developed in partnership with the Maine DOE. This resource supports evidence-based practice in school-based occupational therapy and highlights the powerful role OT plays in student success.

✨ Yesterday, Husson OT students screened nearly 75 kindergarteners in the Hermon School Department for fine and visual motor skills as part of our RTI collaboration.

By working in real classrooms, our students bring their learning to life while giving back to the community and supporting children’s success—fulfilling Husson’s mission and vision through authentic, hands-on practice. 💚

Way to go, Eagles—you’re making a difference one crayon, scissor cut, and pencil stroke at a time! 🦅✨

Southern Maine Pediatric Therapies is locally owned by an Occupational Therapist. We have been providing services in Southern Maine for over 10 years. We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team in Windham. . As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping children and families achieve their goals and improve their overall well-being. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in occupational therapy, a passion for working with children and their families, and a commitment to delivering high-quality services. Responsibilities:

- Conduct initial evaluations
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care

- Maintain daily progress notes and quarterly progress reports

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree or Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Strong knowledge of occupational therapy principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and a positive experience for patients and families.
