What is TENS and EMS?
TENS stands for transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation and EMS stand for electrical muscle stimulation. Both therapies involve placing electrodes on the skin near an affected muscle. A TENS machine mainly affects the nerves helping to relieve pain and increase blood flow. An EMS machine affects nerves and muscle, sometimes causing the muscle to contract in a rhythmic pattern. The mild electrical impulses can help to relax muscle spasms, retrain muscles, and relieve pain.

Starting June 26th our office hours will be changing! We will be open Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 7:30am-12:30pm and 2pm-6pm. We will also be closed next week (19th-23rd).

We're sad to announce Dr. Kendra will be moving back to Colorado! Her last day will be 6/16/23.

Dr. Kendra has been an integral part of Contour Chiropractic for several years now and we wish her all the best. We're sorry to see her go but excited for her to start a new adventure in Colorado. Thank you for everything you have done for us here in Oregon.

Dr. Ann will still be seeing patients but it may be harder to get in on short notice. We are seeking another associate chiropractor to join our clinic, we want to make sure it is the right fit, so thank you all for your patience.

What is cold laser therapy? It is a type of treatment where low-intensity light is applied to your body. This technique is called "cold" laser because the light used isn't strong strong enough to heat the body's tissue.

Doctors use cold laser therapy in a variety of ways. The primary ways it is used are to aid in tissue repair, pain relief, and reduce inflammation. It sends red and infrared light to the target area causing a physiological reaction that promotes healing.

We are moving to a new location! We will be saying goodbye to our North Plains building and be moving to Banks starting in September. Our clinic will be next to Jim's Market, Subway, Main Street Pizza, and Oriental Garden in Banks.

Our new address wil be: 12350 NW Main Steet Suite 112 Banks, OR 97106 . We hope to see everyone at our new clinic location.
