This next speaker announcement is incredibly exciting to share. Bryanna is a graduate or our very first LU IBCLC Prep Cohort! She is an exceptional clinician and we are proud to welcome her as a speaker for the 2026 BBB Conference.

Bryanna Irene, Owner and Founder of The Mouth Rehab, is a board-certified Speech-Language Pathologist licensed in Virginia and certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), holding her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).

Since 2018, Bryanna has supported infants, children, and adults across a variety of settings, including private practice, schools, and long-term care communities. She specializes in myofunctional disorders and their impact on feeding, breathing, speech, and sleep, using an individualized, evidence-based approach focused on addressing the root cause of oral dysfunction rather than compensations. Bryanna is committed to creating a compassionate, supportive environment while partnering with families and caregivers to achieve meaningful outcomes.

Announcing our 2nd speaker for the BBB May 15, 2026 Conference in Palm Springs, California. My friend, Jennifer Rue McLellan will be sharing her important work on Building Confidence and Breaking Bias! She is a master speaker and was recently a presenter for TEDx!

Jen McLellan, CBE, is a published author, founder of Plus Size Birth, and host of the Plus Mommy Podcast. She helps people navigate the world of plus size pregnancy, shares tips for embracing your body, and laughs her way through the adventures of parenthood.

With over 8 million page views, Plus Size Birth is the premier plus size pregnancy resource trusted by parents and professionals. The Plus Mommy Podcast was named one of the best pregnancy podcasts by The Bump.

Karyn Sprinkle will be presenting "Confidence in Providing Trauma-Informed Care"

Karyn Sprinkle, PMHNP-BC, PMH-C, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner specializing in perinatal mental health, substance use disorders, and trauma-informed care. With over 18 years of experience as both a psychiatric provider and labor & delivery nurse, she understands the unique challenges individuals and families face during life’s most important transitions.

Her practice is rooted in compassion, evidence-based care, and a commitment to creating a safe, supportive space for healing and growth. She supports a variety of patients seeking help with anxiety, depression, medication management, substance use, and a myriad of other conditions.

She provided individualized care across California through tele-health, with a focus on accessibility and whole-person wellness. In person appointments are also available.

When formula fed babies need to gain weight, the pediatrician's answer is, "give more formula." When breastfed babies need to gain weight, the pediatrician's answer is "give more formula". Formula should not be the default for a breastfed baby. There should be a complete feeding assessment along with questions regarding feeding schedules, patterns, anatomical issues, cultural beliefs, pumping, and more.
