✅Though one may feel tightness throughout the IT band, the issue is located right around the hip to the muscles that control the IT band, including the TFL and gluteus medius muscles.

So working at these muscles, whether it is resistance or stretching through mobility may have some benefits in some cases. See your doctor for your specific hip pain. This is just the demonstration of various exercises and ideas that I like.

✅ stretch and mobility to the anterior portion of the hip. This is just a demonstration and not considered treatment. See your doctor prior to performing exercises. This gets a nice stretch with the aid of a towel to the Sartorius muscle, the TFL, and the quadriceps to an extent.

Some movement ideas that may be helpful for this. See your doctor first and foremost. These are general movements that are a demonstration as to what may be beneficial.

✅A nice stretch to the shoulder capsule into internal rotation, with a towel. 💪🏻 The towel provides tension to the joint to help improve mobility.

Improved mobility may help with pain and allow for one to use that with other exercises and movements

This is an oldie, but a goodie. Right off the bat, if it feels good to stretch it then go for it! There’s nothing wrong with stretching areas that feel tense or knotted up. This is not comprehensive. This is a single stretch that may feel good for this area. That is hard to reach for people. Strengthening all around is absolutely important, but this is just a stretch. Keep this in mind. Also note that One should see their doctor for their specific case or for their pain again I repeat, it’s OK to stretch this area even if you hear the narrative that one should never stretch here because these are weak and stretched muscle muscles. That’s an old narrative. Do what feels great! Keep moving keep mobilizing keep strengthening. 👍🏻

Nerve gliding movements aren’t just good for nerve symptoms, they can serve as nice mobility movements too! In this case, the wrist and elbow feel 🤌🏻 for me with this one. See your doctor for your specific case.

This is an essential movement in my opinion for issues with a trigger finger. Though the problem with the trigger finger is lower down in the hand this movement slides that tending comfortably through the problem area. This is a gentle movement to help desensitize the pain due to a narrow opening, which causes the trigger finger to begin with. Be well and see your doctor for your specific case.

This is a nerve gliding movement (low threat movement) for . It’s important to note that there is a variance from person to person. See your doctor for your case, this is a demonstration of movements that may help to desensitize.

Notice the placement of my hand relative to my head and the two different movements I do with my head. This is a general demonstration for a nice stretch to rotation and flexion. This is not specific to your case see your doctor prior to performing exercises.

Neck movements with mobility and a touch of resistance that can be very helpful to help strengthen the deep neck, flexor muscles. Strengthening the deep neck, flexor muscle muscles for the neck can be very important when it comes to pain, stiffness, and much more.
