The ideal age to remove wisdom teeth is typically between 17 and 25, before the roots fully develop. Younger patients tend to heal faster, experience fewer complications, and have less risk of impacted roots or nerve involvement. That’s why our team at Oral Surgery Center, SC often recommends evaluating wisdom teeth before problems start. Schedule your teen's wisdom tooth consultation today: (608) 356-2112

Oral cancer often doesn’t come with obvious symptoms, but early detection can save lives.

During Oral Cancer Awareness Month, we encourage everyone to stay proactive by scheduling regular dental exams and monitoring any unusual changes in your mouth.

Each year, about 2.2 million bone-grafting procedures are performed worldwide.

Bone grafting helps rebuild or strengthen the jaw so it can properly support a dental implant. The gold standard is autografting, where a patient’s own bone is used to repair and reconstruct areas of the mouth, face, or skull. A bone graft enhances the stability and longevity of dental implants. If a bone graft is recommended before your dental implant surgery, set up your appointment at Oral Surgery Center, SC: (608) 356-2112

The #1 question patients ask about wisdom teeth is: "Do I really need to get them removed?" Wisdom teeth are usually only removed if they cause problems or are likely to cause problems in the future. There are no scientifically proven health benefits of removing wisdom teeth that don't cause problems. However, if you don't have enough room in your mouth for wisdom teeth, or they're painful, infected, or cause other dental problems, they may need to be removed. You may also still need to have them removed, even if they aren't causing any pain. The only way to know for sure is to schedule a consultation with Dr. Anderson at Oral Surgery Center, SC: (608) 356-2112
