We had such a wonderful visit from local artist Nancy Peidelstein, who reminded us that creativity begins with just one idea. She even created an animation using a photo of Cheryl’s bird — a perfect example of how art can bring our everyday moments to life.

In celebration of earlier this month, our residents took things on the road with a refreshing visit to Devil’s Lake State Park. Surrounded by beautiful fall colors, crisp air, and peaceful scenery, the day served as a wonderful reminder of how meaningful it is to step outside, connect with nature, and take time to care for our minds as well as our bodies.

Moments like these highlight the importance of balance, reflection, and joy—key ingredients to overall well-being. Whether it’s sharing stories on the bus, enjoying a quiet view by the water, or simply breathing in the fresh air, our residents remind us that mental health is nurtured through connection, curiosity, and community.
