A huge thank you to Chef Lori Greenwood from Bekah Kate's (Kitchen, Kids and Home) in Baraboo for leading a cooking class yesterday! 👩‍🍳

Kate helped everyone make Molasses Cookies, Sandbakkels (Norwegian cookies), and a retro 7-Layer Pea Salad! Folks are already looking forward to her coming back!

Yesterday was a special day! 🎂🎉 Mary from Meadow View turned 90 years young and Sandi from Meadow Ridge turned 81! A big thank you to their families for treating everyone to yummy cake and cupcakes, and to volunteer Jenna for helping us celebrate!

Another furry friend came to visit from the Sauk County Humane Society. 🐾 He was recently rescued so his name and breed weren't known, but everyone sure enjoyed him! 🥰

Did you know that interacting with a pet can lower cortisol levels, the body's stress hormone, and increase serotonin, which has a calming effect and can reduce anxiety? This fun activity not only encouraged social interaction among residents but also was a fantastic mood booster.

There was a lot of both last week when Meadow Ridge ladies went to Log Cabin Family Restaurant for lunch, Afterward they took a spin around Devil's Lake. A change of scenery is always refreshing, especially in the winter! 🚌

Meadow Ridge and Meadow View welcomed 2026 with a New Year's Eve Party with yummy snacks, sparkling grape juice, a game of BINGO, and even a few New Year's resolutions!
