We hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day! 💗 It was extra special at Meadow Ridge and Meadow View this year.

There were SO many beautiful valentines donated! Heartfelt thanks to the Baraboo Children's Museum, Carnegie-Schadde Memorial Public Library of Baraboo, 4H groups, neighbors and community friends for all the love you shared. We so appreciate our Baraboo community! 💞

Oh the joy young people bring! 💞

Earlier in the week the "Compass Group" from Expeditions Unlimited in Baraboo made a return visit. These students aged 18-20 from the Christian-focused outdoor adventure camp came at Christmas time, and folks were excited to see them again. They're a great group of young people!

Intergenerational programs have so many benefits. Seniors can help young people gain perspective and pursue their dreams, and young people can energize seniors and reduce the sense of isolation some feel. A win-win for all! 👏😊

A huge thank you to Chef Lori Greenwood from Bekah Kate's (Kitchen, Kids and Home) in Baraboo for leading a cooking class yesterday! 👩‍🍳

Kate helped everyone make Molasses Cookies, Sandbakkels (Norwegian cookies), and a retro 7-Layer Pea Salad! Folks are already looking forward to her coming back!

Yesterday was a special day! 🎂🎉 Mary from Meadow View turned 90 years young and Sandi from Meadow Ridge turned 81! A big thank you to their families for treating everyone to yummy cake and cupcakes, and to volunteer Jenna for helping us celebrate!

Another furry friend came to visit from the Sauk County Humane Society. 🐾 He was recently rescued so his name and breed weren't known, but everyone sure enjoyed him! 🥰

Did you know that interacting with a pet can lower cortisol levels, the body's stress hormone, and increase serotonin, which has a calming effect and can reduce anxiety? This fun activity not only encouraged social interaction among residents but also was a fantastic mood booster.
