The folks at Meadow View also spent time with Murphy and Kathy, and Duane celebrated his 91st birthday! Did you know that interacting with a pet can lower cortisol levels, the body's stress hormone, and increase serotonin, which has a calming effect and can reduce anxiety? Sweet animals can be such a fantastic mood booster!

Last week the Meadow Ridge folks did some Halloween crafting and painting, and took a ride on the bus to check out the beautiful fall colors! On their way to the Spring Green area they saw such wonderful colors on the trees, and even saw a huge eagle's nest with a bald eagle guarding it from another tree!

Meadow View sure had a fun-filled past week! It started with an Indigenous People's Day/Columbus Day craft that bonded everyone together by combining all of their hand prints into one beautiful wreath, and "WisTex" entertained the folks on Tuesday.
