It’s true! An ingredient in rat poisoning is called 1, 25 dihydroxycholecalciferol or cholecalciferol which is the active form of Vitamin D.

Great question!
This is because Vitamin D is toxic to rodents, leading to severe health issues such as kidney damage and hypercalcemia (high calcium levels in the blood). This then may lead to kidney failure, organ damage and death.
