🎉 October Therapy Success Story: Kenneth Mills 🎉

This month, we are celebrating the incredible journey of Kenneth Mills!

After enduring multiple debilitating knee surgeries, Kenneth faced a long and difficult road to recovery. For 18 months, he was confined to bed and unable to walk — a challenge that would test anyone’s strength and spirit.

When Kenneth joined us, he was determined to regain his independence and return to the life he loved. Through months of dedicated rehabilitation, hard work, and the unwavering support of his family, the facility team, Kenneth made remarkable progress.

Step by step, he rebuilt his strength, mobility, and confidence. His perseverance and positive attitude inspired everyone around him.

We are thrilled to share that Kenneth walked out of our facility on his own, ready to return home to his wonderful family! 💪🏽🏡

Kenneth’s story is a true testament to what can be achieved through determination, teamwork, and the power of rehabilitation. Congratulations, Kenneth — we’re so proud of you!

Who are we?

Barbourville Health and Rehabilitation Center is a 50,000-square-foot, 135-bed facility located in Barbourville, Kentucky. We have served our community for many decades and provide short-term and outpatient rehabilitation, skilled care, long-term care, and palliative care services. Our state-of-the-art facility features a library, ice cream parlor, secure courtyard, spa area, salon and barber, and several private rooms which are subject to availability. The secure courtyard is accessible from our common areas and our spas include large whirlpool tubs, each with their own flat screen television mounted at perfect viewing level. Our facility also features beautiful and comfortable areas perfect for visiting and includes our lobby, a spacious front porch with ceiling fans for southern comfort, quaint dayrooms and a large park area where we host cookouts during summer months.

EMPLOYMENT

Our staff is dedicated to serving its community and has won various fundraising awards from non-profit organizations such as the American Heart Association, the Alzheimer’s Association, the National Cancer Society, and Relay for Life. When you join our team, you’ll be working at a facility that has been recognized with accolades such as:
