Our March featured scents have a theme of regeneration and rebirth. OK, I may have stretched that a little with Blood Game, but one does experience a rebirth into vampire life when one becomes a vampire, so it fits! Blood Game honors a very specific vampire, the Count Saint Germain in the novels by Chelsea Quinn Yarbro. He is courtly, considerate, and accomplished; a true gentleman’s gentleman. His scent has notes of Patchouli, Bay Laurel, and of course, blood. Fresh out of my first formal aromatherapy class from the great Marcel Lavabre in 1994, I decided to make a relaxing blend with Lavender. The result was Serenity, and it continues to be one of our most loved essential oil blends. We highly recommend it for diffusing or for adding to a bath salt. It’s Flashback Friday! We’re in 1993 now, when I had opened my first retail store in Champaign, IL. I was the first vendor to begin a mini-mall inside of a former department store called Robeson’s. I took over the former perfume section of the department store and the charming Christine Mayer was my first ever store minion. There was a bright pink ‘perfume’ sign done in neon of which I’m not sure I still have a photo. ❤️ ❤️
