We are excited to announce that the Parkinson’s Foundation and the American College of Sports Medicine, the world’s largest sports medicine and exercise science organization, have announced updated recommendations to provide safe and effective guidance on exercise for people with Parkinson’s disease!

The updated exercise recommendations were published following extensive review from subject matter experts, as well as members of the PD community who actively use the recommendations. Read more: Parkinson.org/about-us/news/updated-exercise-recommendations

Join us from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., on Tuesday, February 24, for the free virtual educational workshop, “Principles of Grit and Resilience to Enhance Recovery from ABI.” This workshop is part of a series that is designed for brain injury survivors and family caregivers.

Led by Amy Karas, MS, CCC-SLP, CBIS/T, Speech-Language Pathologist, each educational session offers insights on managing challenges, building resilience, and improving quality of life.

NeuroBalance Center has partnered with the Kaleidoscope School of Fine Art to provide a therapeutic art program! The Art-reach program is meant to inspire creativity, build self-esteem, and enrich lives through the visual arts. Whether you are an avid art enthusiast, a novice painter, or simply looking to incorporate time for self-care, this program is for you! Led by an instructor from the Kaleidoscope School of Art, students will be guided through a session of watercolor painting and experience the therapeutic element art has to offer.
