Haven’t posted in a bit. Silas started walking April 5th. He has a bit of a limp but it should get better over time. We moved him back to his place last Sat!!
He still has work to do and may have to have another surgery in June to keep his toe straight but other than that, he’s got a toe!!
Thank you for all the prayers and the $ that was donated to his go fund me. The funds helped keep his bills up while he was down.

Late posting this week progress up.
We did a little backwards stepping these last two weeks since pins got taken out. The big toe slanted over to right and a lil under his other toe. His wound Dr had to cut some tissue out between his toes in order to get the big toe to move back in straight position. So she now has it wrapped where it is pulling the toe straight till we get to foot Dr this coming Mon.
All is still good and keeping the toe looks better everyday.

Today’s visit!!
Pins came out!! Bones are trying to fuse together. Still have some healing to go with the bones. Wound looks great, however still no trying to walk on it till the tissue is stronger.
Dr doesn’t want the wound to bust open with pressure from trying to walk.
Taking it week by week. As always thanks for the prayers!

Surgeon first; toe bone is trying to fuse together. Dr is leaving the pins in another 2 wks for the bone to get stronger and hopefully heal.

His toe is doing great, he didn’t even need a skin graph!

Got the usual treatment;
Cleaning, silver nitrate, collagen, skin graph and wrap it up.

Went to surgeon 1 at thing this morning. Toe bone is still in many pieces but he thinks it will fuse, it’s just gonna take time.
Wound Dr is very pleased!
Wound was cleaned today, silver nitrate treatment, another skin graph & more collagen. The toe wound is doing great!!
