Earlier this month, Suburban Orthopaedics’ Dr. Shoueb Malik presented a continuing education session for the physical therapy team at Team Rehabilitation Physical Therapy.

Dr. Malik shared expertise on lateral ankle instability, including evaluation and management, relevant anatomy and biomechanics, how to differentiate acute versus chronic instability, and evidence-based treatment options—both conservative and surgical.

Dr. Goldman recently shared a before-and-after look at a meniscal repair performed using the Stryker AIR+ All-Inside Meniscal Repair System. Designed with a small, ergonomic profile, this technology gives surgeons more precise feedback during the procedure, supporting accuracy in the OR and helping reduce the risk of post-operative complications.

Advancements like these help improve outcomes and get patients back to moving comfortably.

Stephanie (ASC Customer Education Manager for Stryker) sustained a twisting knee injury in June and developed pain that limited her activity. After speaking with Dr. Goldman, a same day MRI was performed which showed a meniscus tear of her knee.

Shortly after, she was scheduled for surgery at Ashton Medical & Surgical Center. Dr. Goldman performed a knee arthroscopy with meniscus repair using 4 Stryker AIR+ all inside meniscal repair devices. This was a unique opportunity for Dr. Goldman to use a Stryker product on a Stryker employee who works to advance technology for physicians/surgeons around the world.
