We are inviting new members to join our Board of Trustees as several valued leaders conclude their service. Board members serve on a collaborative team of approximately 10 individuals who meet quarterly to review agency updates and provide guidance on overall operations. Prior board experience is not required, and we are seeking individuals with a heart for supporting women and children in challenging circumstances through counseling, pregnancy resources, and adoption planning when appropriate. ✨ Hope showed up for Michelle — just when she needed it most. ✨

At 17, eight months pregnant with twins, grieving the loss of her babies’ father, and starting over in a new town with no support system, Michelle felt completely alone.
Her family had no transportation, no income, and nothing prepared for the girls she was about to welcome.

But because of generous donors, Hannah’s Hope was able to step in.

Here is one example of how YOUR support has come to the aid of a family in crisis:



Hannah’s Hope first met Emily in spring 2025. Pregnant with twins and already caring for a one- and two-year-old, she and her husband were doing their best to stay afloat. When the twins arrived in July, things seemed hopeful—until September, when one of the babies contracted RSV and had to be Life Flighted to the children’s hospital in Memphis.

During the two-week hospitalization, the family received free lodging, but everything else—gas to travel back and forth, groceries, and arrangements for their other children, fell on their shoulders. Hannah’s Hope stepped in, ensuring they had the essentials they needed to stay close to their baby and hold their family together.

Emily’s story is no longer rare. More and more women we support during pregnancy are returning for help after their babies are born—and we expect this need to grow in the new year. **Your gift today ensures families like ’Emily's are never left to face these crises alone. And we cannot continue to provide this type of support without your help.**

What does an adoption cost?
Each child-placing agency licensed in the state of TN is required to report its fees to the state for publication. This list is linked below. It is important that a family understands the financial commitment made when becoming a Waiting Family. Hannah's Hope works to keep our adoption fees as low as possible by fundraising and seeking grants to help cover our administrative expenses. We also help our adoptive families seek grant opportunities to help pay their placement fees (as applicable).

How are adoptive "matches" made?

Hannah’s Hope considers it an honor to help a mother choose a loving family for her child. To assist her in this process, Hannah’s Hope provides expecting parents with profile books designed to introduce them to approved adoptive families who would be a good match for them and their baby.

Potential adoptive families undergo extensive interviews, in a process taking several months, before being approved as adoptive families. These interviews include verifying the following:

Background checks
Financial stability
Recognized as healthy and physically able to care for a child
Healthy mental and emotional state
Pre-adoption counseling
Adoption Education
Infant Safety and Care Courses
