To Our Family and Community,
It is with deep sorrow that I must say Harmony Hall has been closed. Social Services made the decision that the building was too old, and while we tried to do all we could, it wasn't enough. The State is currently systematically closing down homes that exist off of Medicaid patients and citing their buildings. The sad truth is, Medicaid doesn't pay enough to hire staff, care for the residents properly, and maintain a mint condition building. Please reach out to your representatives to advocate for all the ALF's out there still fighting (over 24 are listed to potentially close right now).
We appreciate all the wonderful years we have had here and the amazing community that has supported us throughout all of them. We would not have been able to provide the care we have been so proud of without everyone's contributions. So thank you to everyone.

Harmony Hall has a resident in need of a notary public. Unfortunately, he becomes extremely car sick, so we can't really take him anywhere to get his papers notarized. If anyone knows a notary that would be willing to come meet with him, please call us at 276-629-3533. Thank you!

Thank you to the community for your amazing support! While we appreciate everything the community is doing to support us, all of our resident's needs are being met in a professional manner. Yes, donations are appreciated for the extra things our residents enjoy, but no one is going without here. Again, thank you for thinking of us but please don't feel that our people are going without. Have a blessed Christmas!

It is with terrible sadness that Harmony Hall, all of its staff and residents, mourn the loss of an amazing employee, April Hollandsworth. She was taken from this world much too soon. All of our thoughts and prayers are with the Drapers during this. If there is anything you can do to help her family with funeral expenses and getting through this difficult time, it is more than appreciated. Thank you.

For everyone messaging me, Harmony Hall, our residents, and my family are all safe and sound. It's an uphill fight against the water, but everyone has a safe, dry place to be while the downstairs is dried out. The girls even helped us squeegee it out. I can say it is the first time a crawdad has flooded in. 😝 He was slung outside. We are sump pumping and shop vaccing and fairing better than many around here. All of our thoughts and prayers are with Stanleytown Rehab, Cunningham's Tire, and the many people evacuated!
