Stop by Ally Medical ER Bastrop to pick up a Gobble Kit for Feed the Need Missions which includes a shopping list for a traditional holiday meal, or choose to donate funds instead.

Once your kit is filled, drop it back off by November 15, and Feed the Need will ensure it reaches a family before Thanksgiving.

Our Ally Medical ER Bastrop team had a frightfully fun Halloween weekend celebrating with our community at the City of Bastrop Boo Bash, Elgin Elementary Trunk or Treat, and Boring Bodega Trunk or Treat!

Each event was full of laughter, creativity, and festive fun as local families, businesses, and first responders came together to make Halloween safe and special for everyone. From downtown trick-or-treating to school and neighborhood celebrations, it was heartwarming to see so many smiling faces and spooky costumes. 👻🍂

Let’s talk about breast cancer because every conversation can save a life 💗

According to Susan G. Komen, women in the U.S. have a 1 in 8 (about 13%) lifetime risk of developing breast cancer.

To help raise awareness and understanding, here are a few important facts to know:

🎀 Most breast cancers aren’t hereditary. Only about 5–10% of breast cancers are linked to inherited genes. While most cases are not tied to family history, gene changes passed down from a parent can increase risk (CDC).

🎀 Early detection saves lives. When caught early, the five-year survival rate is 99%. Thanks to advancements in medicine and technology, breast cancer treatments continue to improve. Today, there are more than four million breast cancer survivors in the United States (National Breast Cancer Foundation).

🎀 Exercise makes a difference. Regular physical activity can lower breast cancer risk by 10–20%. This benefit is seen most in postmenopausal women, but studies show it helps premenopausal women too ( Susan G. Komen ).
