Hey guys it has been a crazy few weeks. Sorry we’ve been MIA. With Braxtons 1st angelversary coming up on the 1st I have a project I want to do. I want to put together a email to his doctors about how their choice to follow a stereotype ultimately costed our son his life and how them changing their views can help other families they may treat and come across. But I need your help. If you ever faced a doctor who told you to essentially give up or a doctor who refused care. Please message me your story. Tell me how it affected your child’s treatment and outcome. Is your child a angel due to slow coding or straight refusal tell me your story.. did you get a doctor who fought with you to give your baby a chance tell me your story. I want to show them both sides of the spectrum. How old were they when they received surgical intervention. How are they doing now? Help me out guys

Welcome to our new fans! We would like to take a minute to introduce ourselves and tell you a little about our group! We are Nichole Tucker and Katie Kissee. We are best friends but first and foremost we are moms but not normal moms we are trisomy moms, CHD moms, and Mama bears. You see as a trisomy parent you walk into a world a normal person doesn’t know exists. A world where we have to FIGHT for every breath our children take or took. we have had to fight for them to be born, for them to receive care that an other baby would receive with no questions asked. we have to fight for that. We created M.A.F.I.A as a way to help and support parents and caregivers (mom/dad/grandparents/aunts/uncles and siblings). We want you to know you are not alone! we are here to share our love, experiences, research and anything else we can to help you fight for fair care for your child. whether your child had trisomy, a heart defect, a deletion or duplication it doesn’t matter! If your fighting for the care your child needs and deserves we are here for
you! We also want to use this platform as a way to raise awareness to the inequality of the medical world! Help us help you! share our page to anyone you think can benefit from support and love. That is what we are here for!

Tonight is suppose to be our wave of light but I don’t know if my weather is going to let me. It’s currently very windy and gray 😩 if weather doesn’t permit a outside lighting I will do a smaller one inside. I’m so sorry guys! I don’t like Mother Nature sometimes!

October is Down's Syndrome Awareness month. Downs syndrome is a extra 21st chromosome. This can result in many developmental delays. In history children with DS were often put into homes after birth to pass. They werent deemed incompatible with life. Now a days these kiddos are just like you and me. You know my favorite thing about my DS buddies??? THEY LOVE EVERYONE!

When you see those two pink lines the last thing that will cross your mind is having to fight for the care your child may need or having to educate yourself on a condition so you can educate others. This is why we created MAFIA. Our goal is to help parents who are in the same position we were in. We want to help you learn and answer any questions we can answer. We want you to know you are NOT alone. We are all in this together. We want you to join our family and be there for each other. We are medical moms, warrior moms, angel moms and rule breakers.
