This week marks 8 years of Urban Apothecary, and I’m feeling so many things… gratitude, humility, and a quiet kind of wonder. ✨

When I started, it was simple: I just wanted to feel better. To sleep through the night. To find gentler ways outside of traditional medications that weren’t working.

Along the way, that search became a calling to help others find the same balance, naturally and with integrity. 💚

The road hasn’t always been easy. We’ve grown through uncertain times, innovated when we had to, and kept reaching higher... from creating new products and expanding our wellness stockists, to studying plant medicine, and even co-authoring a book. 🌱

But through it all, you’ve been here. Whether you’ve shopped with us for years or just found us recently, thank you. Your support, your stories, and your kindness have carried this dream further than I ever imagined.

Pain and inflammation aren’t the enemy, they’re the messengers. 🌿

👉🏽 Your body is trying to tell you something.

When we stop fighting the symptoms and listen quietly, everything begins to shift. Healing isn’t just about doing more, it’s about paying attention.

Here are 5 things to help you holistically address these symptoms:

1️⃣ Move gently, but often. Walks, stretching, slow yoga... movement keeps circulation flowing and helps energy move through instead of getting stuck.

2️⃣ Eat with awareness. Some foods quietly fuel inflammation every day. Try cutting back on:

-Refined sugar & processed snacks
-Fried foods and seed oils
-Processed meats
-Dairy, wheat and GMO foods like corn and peanuts
-Excess alcohol or refined carbs

👉🏽 add more of what heals: leafy greens, berries, turmeric, ginger, and whole, colorful foods that support your body’s natural rhythm.
