COVID-19 UPDATE:

As of September 1, 2020, the Governor of South Carolina and DHEC has provided Long-Term Care facilities (assisted living and nursing home) guidelines for outdoor visitation.

Due to the amount of guidelines that were provided, it will take time for ALL Generations facilities, including Batesburg, Chapin, and Irmo, to put these guidelines into place.

All families will be notified when outdoor visitation will start.

COVID-19 UPDATE:

We have had several phone calls today asking when Generations of Batesburg will open back up to visitors and family members due to the press conference from the Governor from Friday. At this time, we are continuing to restrict all visitors per the executive order that was placed on March 13.

During the press conference on Friday, the Governor has asked DHEC to set a plan for uplifting the visitation restrictions. As of today, June 29, there are no changes to visitation restrictions. We have spoken with DHEC and they said that nothing has been finalized. When DHEC comes up with a plan, we will be the first to know. Therefore, we will let all family members know.

COVID-19 UPDATE:

We have had several phone calls this week asking when Generations of Batesburg will open back up to visitors and family members. At this time, we are continuing to restrict all visitors due to the state emergency that Governor McMaster put into order on March 13th.

When Governor McMaster uplifts the State of Emergency on all Assisted Living Facilities and Nursing Homes, we will have protocols set in place that DHEC will provide us with, such as: set visiting hours, pre-screening temperatures and questionnaires, a common meeting space where visitors will have to sit 6 ft apart with their family member, and more.

Our number one priority at this time is to keep all of our residents healthy and safe. We currently have zero cases of COVID-19 and we want to keep it that way. We understand that it is hard not being able to see family members and your loved ones, but please be patient with us as this is very difficult for our staff as well.
We are thankful for all of our staff and the family members that have been supportive throughout this hard time.
