Jessica has eight years of nursing experience and currently serves as an On-Call RN. Early in her journey to become a nurse, she sought God's guidance for her path in healthcare. During that time, her mother-in-law was battling stage 4 lung cancer. Although she requested ER, Cardiac, and ICU preceptorships, she was placed on an oncology/hospice unit instead—a decision she now believes was divinely guided. Being with her mother-in-law as she received hospice care left a profound impact on Jessica. Her mother-in-law passed just two weeks before Jessica graduated from nursing school, and the compassion and support their family received from the hospice team inspired her to follow a similar path. Jessica believes God redirected her steps to hospice so she could support families emotionally and bring comfort during such an important time. She sees her role in hospice as a calling and a way to fulfill God's purpose for her life.
