👁️ General Facts for Contacts
Contact lenses are thin, curved lenses placed directly on the surface of the eye (the cornea) to correct vision or for cosmetic purposes.
They can correct the same vision problems as glasses, including nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, and presbyopia.

🧪 Materials & Types for Contacts
Early contact lenses were made of glass, but modern ones are usually soft plastics or silicone hydrogel, which allow oxygen to pass through to the eye.

⏱️ Wear & Replacement for Contacts
Some contacts are daily disposables (used once and thrown away).
Others are bi-weekly or monthly lenses that require cleaning and storage.
Extended-wear lenses can be worn overnight, but doctors often caution against this due to infection risk.

Hours: Monday-Friday

Expected Hours: 40 per week

Ladd Eye Center is a fast-paced, growing optometry practice that is seeking a full-time technician that will assist providers with patient care and help create an atmosphere that reflects the high standards and service our patients expect.
⭐️What We’re Looking For: We’re seeking a flexible, highly organized team player with: ✔️A professional appearance and demeanor ✔️Strong computer and phone skills ✔️A compassionate, positive attitude ✔️Ability to multitask and stay calm in a busy environment
📝Job Responsibilities Include (but not limited to):
• Perform pre-testing on patients • Gather patient medical history and chief complaints • Assist the optometrist • Maintain and sanitize exam rooms and equipment • Schedule appointments and manage patient flow • Enter accurate data into electronic medical records • Support front desk duties as needed (phones, check-in/out) • Ensure a positive, professional patient experience- Work well with others
