Alzheimer's Services Of The Capital Area

Alzheimer's Services Of The Capital Area Alzheimer's Services of the Capital Area is a non-profit organization based in Baton Rouge, LA.

Alzheimerโ€™s Services is not affiliated with a national organization; therefore, all funds raised remain in our 10-parish service area to fulfill our mission of making a significant difference in the lives of those coping with Alzheimerโ€™s disease. We do this through our 3 core principles of teaching, caring and connecting. We have an award-winning day center, Charlie's Place Respite Center, a program for individuals with early to mild stage Alzheimerโ€™s and dementia-related disorders designed to provide cognitive stimulation and social interaction. We also have several support and educational programs to help guide caregivers and those affected along the arduous journey that is Alzheimer's disease. Our resource library offers endless materials from educations DVDs to pamphlets on numerous topics to local care options. We are your local resource for everything related to Alzheimer's disease.

Laissez les bons temps rouler! ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’š
This Mardi Gras, we're celebrating the joy, music, and traditions that bring our community together -- while remembering the families walking the journey of Alzheimer's and dementia. At Alzheimer's Services, every day is about providing support, hope, and compassionate care for those who need it most. Thank you for being apart of our KREWE and helping us make a difference!

Pennington Biomedical Research Foundation Biomedical is hosting a free event on February 25, 2026 from 3-5pm at Pennington introducing their Safer Driver Program. This event's panelist are Dr. Linda Hill and Dr. David Carr, both experts and thought leaders in the area of older adults-cognitive impairment-and driving safety. Pennington is starting a bunch of initiatives around driver health, risky driving behaviors, and roadway safety and this event kicks it off (they will also have panelists on ADHD as well).

Alzheimer's Services Of The Capital Area hosts a one hour "Who We Are" information session where attendees learn all about the great work Alzheimer's Services provides. Last night's session we were thrilled to have the Louisiana Eta Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa who are an international group of โ€œOutstanding Teachersโ€. They have chosen Alzheimerโ€™s Services as one of their local charities and we couldn't be more excited to partner with this group!!
