Alzheimer's Services Of The Capital Area Alzheimer's Services of the Capital Area is a non-profit organization based in Baton Rouge, LA.

Alzheimer’s Services is not affiliated with a national organization; therefore, all funds raised remain in our 10-parish service area to fulfill our mission of making a significant difference in the lives of those coping with Alzheimer’s disease. We do this through our 3 core principles of teaching, caring and connecting. We have an award-winning day center, Charlie's Place Respite Center, a program for individuals with early to mild stage Alzheimer’s and dementia-related disorders designed to provide cognitive stimulation and social interaction. We also have several support and educational programs to help guide caregivers and those affected along the arduous journey that is Alzheimer's disease. Our resource library offers endless materials from educations DVDs to pamphlets on numerous topics to local care options. We are your local resource for everything related to Alzheimer's disease.

We are honored to share that Alzheimer’s Services of the Capital Area has been named the 2025 Service Provider of the Year!
The Gold Awards of Louisiana recognizes outstanding commitment and impact within the disability community, and we are truly humbled to receive this distinction. Thank you to the Governor’s Office of Disability Affairs, Office of Governor Jeff Landry, for honoring our mission and the work we do every day.
This award is a tribute to our team, volunteers, care partners, and the families we serve. Together, we continue to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those living with Alzheimer’s and related dementias. 💜
