Alzheimer's Services Of The Capital Area

Alzheimer's Services Of The Capital Area Alzheimer's Services of the Capital Area is a non-profit organization based in Baton Rouge, LA.

Alzheimer’s Services is not affiliated with a national organization; therefore, all funds raised remain in our 10-parish service area to fulfill our mission of making a significant difference in the lives of those coping with Alzheimer’s disease. We do this through our 3 core principles of teaching, caring and connecting. We have an award-winning day center, Charlie's Place Respite Center, a progr

am for individuals with early to mild stage Alzheimer’s and dementia-related disorders designed to provide cognitive stimulation and social interaction. We also have several support and educational programs to help guide caregivers and those affected along the arduous journey that is Alzheimer's disease. Our resource library offers endless materials from educations DVDs to pamphlets on numerous topics to local care options. We are your local resource for everything related to Alzheimer's disease.

Creativity is blooming at Charlie’s Place Baton Rouge🌸🌺🌼🌷🌻🌹🌾

Our clients recently spent time arranging fresh flowers at our Arts & Alzheimer’s Program, expressing themselves through art together. Activities like these do more than brighten the room—they give the clients a sense of purpose.

At Alzheimer’s Services of the Capital Area, every day is an opportunity to engage, create, and thrive. 💜

It’s the small moments, the shared smiles, and the steady presence that make the biggest difference. 💜
This National Volunteer Month, Alzheimer's Services celebrates the INCREDIBLE individuals who give their time and hearts to support families facing Alzheimer's. Your impact reaches far beyond what we can measure—bringing comfort, dignity, and joy to those who need it most.
Because of you, no one walks this journey alone.

Today, Alzheimer’s Services of the Capital Area was proud to attend Louisiana State Advocacy Day at the Capitol.

We joined advocates, care partners, professionals, and supporters from across the state to raise awareness and speak up for individuals and families impacted by Alzheimer’s and other dementias. Every voice matters when it comes to advancing care, support, and resources for our community.

Together, we advocate for a stronger future for those we serve.💜
