“We celebrated the true meaning of Thanksgiving—a time for gratitude, togetherness, and love. 🍂💛 Our Friendsgiving lunch was a beautiful reminder of what the holidays are all about: family, connection, and making memories. Our residents’ families showed up and showed out for their loved ones, and our amazing dietary staff provided a delicious Thanksgiving feast. Today, we celebrated and honored the incredible veterans here at Baton Rouge Healthcare Center. We are forever grateful to Mr. Leroy, Mr. John, and Mr. Clifton for their selfless service and dedication to our country.

Thank you for your sacrifices and the example you set for us all. It was a privilege to recognize your bravery and share in a special Veterans Day program together.

From preparing balanced, delicious meals to catering to individual dietary needs, they are a crucial part of our community’s success and well-being.

🎃 Another successful Trunk or Treat at Baton Rouge Healthcare Center! We had a fantastic turnout, and it was heartwarming to see our community come together to celebrate. Huge thanks to our amazing staff and neighbors for going all out with creative trunk decorations—everyone’s effort made it a night to remember! The kids and our residents had a blast, and we wrapped it up with some delicious nachos and sodas. 🍿🥤 Here’s to more community fun and togetherness!

They had so much fun making Halloween door hangers and absolutely loved having Elaina’s help and kindness. We also enjoyed some great music and candy prizes for all who participated. 🎀 Today, we had our annual Breast Cancer Walk at Baton Rouge Healthcare Center, and it was truly inspiring! 💖

We were honored to have two amazing guest speakers who are breast cancer survivors share their stories with us. For those who couldn’t join us in person, we live-streamed the walk so everyone could be part of this special day. We walked around the building, with some of our dedicated employees pushing residents in wheelchairs while others walked alongside them.

It was an incredible event, filled with hope and support from everyone involved. After the walk, we enjoyed light refreshments and great conversations inside.

A big THANK YOU to everyone who helped make this event a huge success! Your support and participation mean so much. Together, we’re raising awareness and standing strong against breast cancer! 💪💗

“Celebrating Commcare’s 30th Anniversary in a truly special way! 🎉 Our Activity Director, Chayastie White, organized a beautiful ceremony to mark this milestone, complete with a time capsule burial to be opened in 2054 and the planting of a lemon tree—a symbol of friendship and kindness. 🌳🍋 We also enclosed orange tree seeds in the capsule to represent new beginnings, growth, and our continued commitment to the future.We were honored to have guest speakers, including Julie Baxter Payer, Esq. from the Mayor’s Office, BRPD’s Keisha Palmer, Deacon Shelley Joseph, and District 5 Council Member Darryl Hurst, who presented a special proclamation.A heartfelt thank you to our generous sponsors—Raising Cane’s, Olive Garden, Coca-Cola, Buffalo Wild Wings, Nothing Bundt Cakes, and The Queen—for providing delicious refreshments for our residents and staff.Here’s to 30 years of serving our community, and to many more years of growth and connection! 💛 ”
