It’s not easy being a graduate student, y’all. Caseloads, learning, reflections, oh my. Graduate assistantships, other jobs, families, and so much to juggle. Oh, and the sweet, sweet learning curve of co-regulation when first exposed to what it means to sitting in the distress.

Wrapped up our final spring semester group supervision this morning and it was an emotional one. is so very thankful for the care, compassion and practice our interns Caitlin, Kate, and Shannon poured into our collective this spring! Your work hasn’t gone unnoticed! Graduate students increase access to care for the community, offer fresh perspectives, remind us of why we get into this field, offer team support, and keep the morale up. These ladies have a bright future!

FIVE years of BRPC! Birthed during the thick of the COVID-19 pandemic, our collective came together to create spaces for the gap that is maternal mental health in Louisiana. We’ve learned a lot, grown, changed, advocated, restructured, taken in graduate students, continue to learn, resource, teach, and advocate some more. Our mission continues to demand quality services that honor the integrity of our reproductive and birthing communities.
