Today was the culmination of week-long events that were held in honor of Founders' Day. The chapter was joined by ours sisters of the Mu Zeta, Omicron Sigma Zeta and Gamma Alpha Gamma Zeta chapters of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc for a worship service at the Greater Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. The Rev. Clee Lowe delivered an inspiring message from Hosea chapter 7 "an unturned cake". We thank the pastor and congregation for their warm welcome and hospitality.

"Louisiana state Sigma Day of Service"
Donations to the "Stork Nest"
The Stork Nest is a cooperative project of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorproated, and the March of Dimes Foundation for more than 40 years, Stork’s Nest aims to increase the number of women receiving early and regular prenatal care in an effort to prevent cases of low birthweight, premature births and infant deaths. The OBSigmas collected and donated disposable diapers and wipes in support of this effort.

The OBSigmas attended the annual MLK Unity Prayer Breakfast this morning. The message delivered by Rev. Brady Whitton of First United Methodist Church of Baton Rouge was inspirational and motivating. He spoke of our responsibility of remembering Dr. King's dream and making it reality. It perfectly encompasses our role as Sigmas when it comes to service. We have our marching orders.

What an amazing time we had. Founders Day is an opportunity to celebrate 112 years of Brotherhood Scholarship and Service our beloved Fraternity.
