Reading this as an adult hit different 😂

I loved Green Eggs and Ham growing up… but Sam?? You were doing a lot.

Still… it reminded me how quick we can say no to things we’ve never even tried.

And as a mom, I’m learning the balance between encouraging my son… and respecting his boundaries.

Because both matter 🤍

Not me helping you challenge your thoughts…
then going home like “should I have added an emoji?”

Therapist by day… overthinking “okay” vs “ok” by night

Growth is knowing I can overthink… and choosing not to (eventually)

Motherhood will humble you real quick… but doing it without support? That hits different.

My pregnancy was smooth. I had support. I felt prepared.

Postpartum? Whew… that was a different story.

And one thing I had to learn quickly having support doesn’t mean there are no struggles. Support actually helps you move through it. It gives you space to breathe, to process, to not feel like you’re carrying everything alone.

Black Maternal Health Week reminds us why community matters so much.

Black maternal health matters every story, every experience, every life. This week (and always), we bring awareness to the disparities, but also the strength, advocacy, and care our communities deserve.

Black women are 3–4x more likely to experience pregnancy-related complications and that’s not okay. Awareness is step one. Action is next.

Supporting Black mothers means listening, believing, and advocating for better care, better outcomes, and safer spaces.

So here’s your reminder:
Check on a Black mom.
Support a Black mom.
Be part of the village. 💛

Client said “real quick” 🥴
→ childhood trauma
→ relationship issues
→ job stress
→ AND a breakthrough??
…all in the last 5 minutes

You’re not behind. You’re adjusting. I often have to remind myself of this. There are days I want to give up, but I know that goals are not achieved overnight.

Wearing teal today in honor of Counseling Awareness Month 💙
Counseling creates space for healing, growth, and real conversations.
If you’ve been thinking about starting therapy, this is your reminder you don’t have to navigate life alone.

In honor of Counseling Awareness Month, I want to reintroduce myself not just as a therapist, but as a person who truly values connection, growth, and showing up authentically.

I’m not here to “fix” you.
I’m here to walk alongside you.

As a counselor, I:
✨ create a space where you can be real no pressure, no judgment
✨ help you make sense of what you’re feeling (even when you don’t have the words)
✨ support you through life transitions, anxiety, and postpartum changes
✨ teach you tools you can actually use in your everyday life

And truthfully? I believe therapy works best when you feel seen, heard, and understood not analyzed.

If you’ve been thinking about starting therapy, this is your reminder that you deserve support too.

I’m currently accepting new clients 💚

If you’re struggling to end a relationship after finally setting a boundary… this is for you 🤍

Setting the boundary was the first brave step.
Honoring it is where the real work begins.

It’s okay if it feels hard.
It’s okay if you miss them.
It’s okay if part of you wants to go back.

But needing distance doesn’t make you weak it means you’re choosing yourself.

You didn’t set that boundary for no reason.
Trust the version of you that knew you deserved more. ✨

I never really prioritized book signings…
and I didn’t realize what I was missing

Not getting the chance to meet authors like E. Lynn Harris?
That’s something I can’t redo

So now? If I love your work, I’m there. No hesitation 📚✨

Most recently I was able to get books signed by and . Definitely the highlight of my month.

If you bring up books around me, just know I’m about to turn into a full personality 😌📚

Give me a title and suddenly I’m recommending, analyzing, and asking, “But how did it make you feel?” 😂

Book talks aren’t small talk over here… they’re a whole experience.

✨ What book are you currently reading?

Transitions are tender.

Becoming a mother.
Returning to work.
Starting over.
Letting go of a version of yourself that once made sense.

These moments can feel exciting and overwhelming at the same time. That doesn’t mean you’re doing something wrong. It means you’re human.

Give yourself the same compassion you give everyone else.
Growth often looks messy before it looks meaningful.

If you’re in a season of transition, be gentle with yourself. 🤍

Celebrated International Women’s Day at a Barbie-themed game and it was such a vibe 💖

Goodies, pink everywhere, and a reminder of how powerful it is when women are celebrated loudly.

Here’s to women doing it all — careers, motherhood, dreams, and still making time to enjoy life. ✨
