A new calendar year means testing gear. The current 11mm ropes in the Roco Training Center cache include Sterling HTP and Work Pro, PMI Unicore, Petzl Axis, CMC G11 and Courant Rebel. This year's new contenders are: (left to right) Petzl Beam, Marlow Diablo and Marlow Protec 500. One rope really made a good impression this week. Any guesses?

This training meets OSHA Competent Person requirements and aligns with current ANSI recommendations. It is built for supervisors, safety professionals, project managers, and anyone who wants a stronger working knowledge of fall protection.

In typical Roco fashion, we will be in the field working hands on. During the course you'll be on the rescue prop, evaluating anchors, performing equipment inspections, building systems, climbing, and running through realistic rescue scenarios. So, dress for field activities. Classroom time will include standards, definitions, and responsibilities – as well as an extensive Q&A session with instructors.

Roco Rescue Essentials™ is a 50-hour, five-day course covering the fundamental skills needed to build a strong base in the rescue world. Knot tying, patient packaging, tripod operations, and other core skills that provide a proper foundation for any aspiring rescuer and carry into more advanced confined space and rope rescue training.

This is an entry level course, but the majority of course hours are hands-on, with students spending most of their time building systems, packaging patients, and working through real rescue problems on our 5 story rescue prop.

The dates listed below are open enrollment courses held at our training center in Baton Rouge. You can sign up as an individual, or register a few people from your team without having to book a full private class.

Well folks, that's it. Roco Rescue Challenge 2025 is in the books. What an amazing year. Congrats to CF Industries for receiving the top team score this year!
