400 classes. Let that sink in.

Mrs. Selena has officially practiced in our studio 400 times, and that is something truly remarkable. As a founding member, she has been part of this journey from the very beginning, showing up with consistency, dedication, and heart.

Mrs. Selena is a guiding light in this space. She leads by example with quiet strength and steady presence. Her commitment speaks louder than words, and her kindness reaches everyone in the room. Around here, we call her a powerhouse — not just for what she can do on the mat, but for the way she uplifts this community.

We honor you today, Mrs. Selena.
Thank you for your loyalty.
Thank you for setting the example.
Thank you for sharing your strength, your grace, and your spirit with us.

We were honored to welcome the LSU defensive backs into the studio for infrared yoga wellness sessions. A special thank you to Secondary Coach .corey for bringing his group in and giving us the opportunity to work with them.

At Move Your Body Yoga, we serve a wide range of people and bodies, and we value the chance to support athletes as part of that broader community. Yoga offers these young men space to strengthen and mobilize their bodies, improve flexibility, and also slow down long enough to connect with their breath and focus their minds.

It has been a pleasure having this group in the studio and sharing how intentional movement and breath can support the physical demands of football, as well as the importance of recovery and balance off the field.

It’s always meaningful to share yoga as a wellness tool that supports both the body and the mind, and we appreciate the opportunity to work with this group in the studio.

Back where we belong.

After a few very cold days away, it feels so good to be back in the studio — warm, grounded, and moving together again. Full room. Full hearts. Back on the mat where the body can thaw and the mind can exhale. 🧘🏽‍♀️🔥

Warmth. Movement. Community.
We missed this.

✨ We’re back on the mat today. ✨

After the winter freeze, our doors are open and the studio is glowing again. This is our first day back since Saturday, and we can’t wait to move with you.

Infrared heat is the perfect way to ease back into your body:

• Helps reduce inflammation

• Supports detox through deep, gentle sweat

• Provides soothing warmth for stiff, cold muscles

• Encourages circulation so your body can move with more ease

If the cold had you feeling tight, achy, or sluggish, this is your sign to come thaw out, stretch it out, and breathe it out with us.

Your mat is waiting. Come warm up with us today. 🧡

A reflection from one of our members, Dr. Ned.

Sometimes wellness feels like coming home.

Infrared sauna can be a place to rest, to breathe, to detox, to meditate, or simply be still.

Midweek reminder: you deserve care that restores you.

A beautiful Sunday morning with the Southern University baseball team in studio.

These are private, athlete-centered yoga wellness sessions—crafted specifically for where they are right now as they prepare for the 2026 season.

We focus on what athletes need most:
breath awareness, mindful focus, mobility, recovery, and nervous system regulation.
Through infrared yoga, intentional stretch, and somatic breathwork, we help them slow the mind, restore the body, and reconnect to their breath—so they can move, train, and compete with clarity and strength.

Yoga isn’t about doing less.
It’s about learning how to pause, reset, and recover—so when it’s time to go, you’re fully present.

Grateful for the trust and partnership, and special thanks to Coach Crenshaw for believing in holistic athlete wellness.
It’s an honor to serve athletes and support them in finding their breath, their pace, and their balance—on and off the field.

Our studio will always be a space for wellness for all bodies—including athletes who give so much of themselves every day.

Happy first Wednesday of 2026.

Today’s midweek mobility tip is centered around Ahimsa, which means non-harm.

Ahimsa isn’t about avoiding work — it’s about how we move while we’re doing the work. When we slow things down, we protect our joints, support the spine, and stay connected to our breath instead of forcing our way through movement.

Try this: stand tall, soften your knees, and hinge slowly at the hips. Let your arms move with control. Notice your breath. Then come halfway up, pause, and return to standing just as slowly.

This is Ahimsa in motion — strong, intentional, and supportive. No rushing. No forcing. Just movement that your body can trust.

That’s how we start 2026. Check out our reel in practice Ahimsa in motion with us.

We’ve been nominated again — and last year, you helped us take FIRST PLACE. 🤍 That still humbles us.

All year long, we’ve shown up for this community the same way we always do: early mornings and evening resets for people carrying full lives, movement for all bodies and all stages, chair yoga for accessibility, heated flows for strength and recovery, breathwork for stress, nervous system support, and mental clarity, and real connection — the kind you feel the moment you walk through the door.

We’ve supported people coming back from injury. Women navigating hormonal shifts, inflammation, and burnout. Athletes training for performance and longevity. Seniors choosing to keep moving with confidence and care. First-time students who just needed a safe place to begin.

Our mission hasn’t changed. Help people feel better in their bodies. Move daily. Create a space where everyone belongs — without intimidation or judgment.

Being nominated again tells us that what we’re building together matters. And we don’t take that lightly — not for a second.

If Move Your Body Yoga has supported your wellness journey in any way, we’d be honored to have your vote again. You can vote once a day through January 23.

Thank you for believing in us, practicing with us, and helping us keep wellness rooted right here in Baton Rouge.
