Meeting the educational, financial and emotional needs of those affected by cancer Helena, St. James, West Baton Rouge and West Feliciana Parishes.

A local and independent nonprofit, Cancer Services opened in 1959 to serve the tangible needs of people living with cancer in Greater Baton Rouge. Over the years the agency’s scope has evolved to empower cancer patients and their families by helping to meet the financial, educational and emotional needs that arise during the cancer journey. All services are free of charge and we serve a ten parish area that includes Ascension, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Iberville, Livingston, Pointe Coupee, St.

💗 Thank you to The National Association of University Women – East Baton Rouge Branch for supporting local families affected by cancer!

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, members hosted a donation drive benefiting Cancer Services and raised $1,000 to help provide vital resources and support for those in our community. We’re so grateful for your generosity and partnership!

👩‍🍳🎃 We cooked up some fun on Halloween!
Thank you to everyone who joined our October 31 Cooking Demo — it was a treat (no tricks here 😉).

Participants learned healthy, easy ways to fuel their bodies during and after treatment, featuring delicious Stuffed Bell Peppers and a creamy Orange Dream Shake that tasted like dessert but packed a nutritious punch.

Special shoutout to the Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University Nutrition & Dietetic Interns for partnering with Cancer Services for the cooking demonstration.

Led by Renita Sander and her spouse, the community raised over $1,000 to support Cancer Services’ mission of helping local individuals and families impacted by cancer.

This heartfelt effort also honors all who are fighting, those who have survived, and the loved ones we’ve lost. Your compassion makes a difference. 💙❤️
