â¨Heart Warrior Wednesdayâ¨
Meet BenjaminđŤâ¤ď¸
Benjaminâs mom says, âIn 2019, what began as a routine pregnancy quickly changed when we learned at 18 weeks that our son Benjamin had a serious heart defect. He was later diagnosed with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome, requiring multiple surgeries. The rest of my pregnancy was filled with uncertainty and fear, but meeting LPCF and learning about their support brought comfort during a very difficult time.
Benjamin was born at Womanâs Hospital and transferred to Ochsner Childrenâs Hospital, where he had his first open-heart surgery at just two days old and another at six months. LPCF provided grants that helped cover housing, gas, and food, allowing us to focus on Benjamin instead of financial stress.
Today, Benjamin is almost three years old and doing remarkably well. Heâs a happy, active toddler who loves playing with his little brother and reading books. He will need another surgery in the future, and weâre grateful knowing LPCF will be there. Their generosity is truly life-changing for heart warrior families, and we hope youâll join us in supporting their mission.â
