Meet Sofia!

Sofia’s mom writes, “Sofia was born with Shone’s Complex and has had 8 surgeries in Boston. She has faced numerous challenges throughout her life, including her CHD and other medical issues. Her intelligence, compassion, and resilience set her apart, and she is an inspiration to all who know her. I cannot wait to see where her journey takes her!

Our last trip to Boston was March of 2022. I am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude for the generous grant that you provided to support Sofia’s heart surgery in Boston. The financial burden of medical expenses can be overwhelming for individuals and families, and your organization’s commitment to easing that burden is truly admirable. Your support has not only provided Sofia with access to essential medical care but also lifted a significant weight off of my shoulders during a stressful and difficult time.

The LPCF grant money was primarily used for housing and transportation while we were in Boston. LPCF’s kindness and generosity have made a significant impact on our lives, and for that, I am forever grateful. Thank you once again for your unwavering support and compassion. Your organization’s dedication to improving the lives of those in need is truly inspiring.”
