We are incredibly proud to recognize Shannon Mathis, MS, CCC-SLP, and celebrate her 18 remarkable years with Sage Outpatient! Shannon began her career at Sage as a speech therapist and has grown into her current role as Assistant Director, consistently demonstrating leadership, adaptability, and a deep commitment to our mission.
Shannon truly embodies our core value of Joyful Purpose. She approaches every role, challenge, and request with a positive spirit and a genuine willingness to help. Whether mentoring a colleague, supporting a patient, or stepping into an unexpected need, Shannon does so graciously and enthusiastically, bringing encouragement and purpose to those around her. Her readiness to help is matched by the care and pride she takes in doing things well.
Throughout her tenure, Shannon has demonstrated extraordinary intellectual agility, allowing her to pivot seamlessly, think critically, and problem-solve in complex and evolving situations. She has mentored countless students and speech therapists, shaping future clinicians and leaders through her guidance and example. She is a forward thinker, a steady and dependable presence, and a leader that both patients and colleagues trust and respect. If you ask Shannon to take on a task, she not only completes it- she elevates it, often going above and beyond what was initially asked.
We are truly grateful for Shannon’s 18 years of service, leadership, and unwavering dedication to Sage. Her impact is immeasurable, and quite simply, we don’t know what we would do without her!
