Dr. Margaret Keller named the 2026 Technical/Scientific Award Lecturer!

Dr. Keller is the Executive of National Laboratories at the American Red Cross and oversees the American Rare Donor Program (ARDP). Margaret received her PhD in molecular genetics from the University of Pennsylvania and is adjunct Associate Professor at Thomas Jefferson University. She is recipient of the 2022 SCABB Cornerstone Award and the AABB Sally Frank Memorial Award. Margaret is a member of ISBT Working Parties on Rare Donors and Red Cell Immunogenetics and Blood Group Terminology. She is also a long-standing member of the AIMS committee. She is editor-in-chief of the journal Immunohematology, and an Associate Editor for Transfusion.

Thierry Peyrard, PharmD, PhD, European Specialist in Laboratory Medicine, served until 2024 as Director of the National Reference Department of Immunohematology and Rare Blood, at the French Blood Establishment (EFS) in Paris. He is currently the “Responsible Person of Blood Product Safety” at EFS, and National Director of Medical Affairs and Research. He is a research director in a state-run scientific institution, in a team specialized in the characterization of blood group systems/antigens. He authored/co-authored 100 peer-reviewed publications. He is Associate Editor of Transfusion, the AABB’s Journal, and was the recipient of the 2025 Sally Frank Award, granted by AABB.
