Recently, some of our medics, along with public safety partners from New Orleans EMS, St. George Fire Department, Zachary Fire Department, Acadian Ambulance, Pointe Coupee Fire Department, Eastside Fire Department, and the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office, participated in a Dive Medicine class.

This specialized training prepares medical personnel and public safety divers to plan for and manage diving-related medical conditions, as well as provide effective medical support during dive operations. Strong partnerships and advanced training like this help ensure the safety of our responders and the communities they serve.
