This recovery dynamics class wrapped up after six weeks of showing up, doing the work, and leaning into change. Huge respect to Matt Corley from Woodlake Recovery for leading with clarity and compassion, and to Ronnie LeDuff for coming in and breaking down what the 12 steps look like in real life — not theory, not slogans, but action.

We partnered with the Behavioral Health Division of the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office and LPCC to bring Woodlake Recovery services directly into the jail. That matters. Because hope shouldn’t start after release — it should start the moment someone is ready.

What stood out most wasn’t perfection. It was effort. Men choosing accountability. Men choosing growth. Men choosing to help the next person behind them.

Recovery isn’t just about getting clean — it’s about learning how to live, how to serve, and how to give back what was freely given to you.
