We loved having two amazing students from St. Joseph's Academy - Baton Rouge join us for our Dynamic Therapy Specialists Mardi Gras Minicamp this week!

They jumped right in, helping our clinicians with transitions and leading camp rotations like yoga, purposeful reading, social skills, and audiology. From cheering on campers to assisting therapists, their energy and enthusiasm helped make minicamp a huge success!

At DTS, we believe therapy doesn’t stop at the session door. Parents are an integral part of a child’s progress and strong partnerships create stronger outcomes.

This Friday, our team dedicated time to sharpening our parent communication skills because going above and beyond for families isn’t something we say… it’s something we actively work on.

We’re always asking:
How can we support parents better?
How can we communicate more clearly?
How can we elevate the experience for every family we serve?

Growth is part of our culture. And our families deserve nothing less. 💛

Sometimes social challenges are subtle.
Difficulty reading facial expressions, understanding tone of voice, or navigating conversations aren’t behavior issues—they’re communication skills that can be supported.

In this video, one of our SLPs, Ms. Paige, explains common signs of social challenges and how speech therapy helps children better interpret social cues and connect with peers. At DTS, we support children through both individual therapy and group-based opportunities to practice these skills in real-life settings.
