We are always honored to celebrate the lives and service of our Veterans. đź’™
Today, surrounded by his loving family, we had the privilege of honoring Army Veteran Mr. John E. Thompson. 🇺🇸

Our deepest gratitude to Chaplain Chris Chavers, a fellow Veteran, and our We Honor Veterans volunteers Bo Bienvenu and Geoff Darvill for leading this touching ceremony and reminding us all of the courage and sacrifice of those who serve. 🇺🇸

✨ National Grief Awareness Day ✨

Grief isn’t always obvious—sometimes you don’t even realize what you’re feeling is grief. It’s messy, unpredictable, and different for everyone. Some days bring tears, others laughter, often both.

Today, let’s give ourselves and others grace in the uncertainty, and remember: healing doesn’t mean forgetting—it means carrying love forward. 💙

A need for Palliative Care...

After 35 years of serving our community as the first hospice in Baton Rouge and the only non- profit hospice, The Hospice of Baton Rouge is expanding services to meet the growing needs of our community. Palliative Care of Baton Rouge provides specialized medical care and support services for people with serious illness that are still seeking curative treatment. Our healthcare team consists of registered nurses, social workers, nurse practitioners, physicians and spiritual care providers. Our support team will partner with and assist your current healthcare providers to ensure that your needs are met at their clinic and/or in your home.

At Palliative Care of Baton Rouge, we strive to provide our community with excellent care that is aligned with their individual goals and empowers them to make active healthcare decisions.
