During Autism Acceptance Month, one of the most meaningful ways to support children is by meeting them where they are and building on what they love. 💙

In ABA therapy, incorporating a child’s preferred activities, toys, or interests can increase motivation, engagement, and learning. Whether it’s bringing a favorite character into a lesson or simply joining in their play, following your child’s lead helps create strong, positive connections while building communication and social skills.

This month, we’re excited to highlight Amber, RLT, RBT! With over four years of experience in ABA and a background in Social Work from Southeastern Louisiana University, Amber brings both knowledge and compassion to her work every day.

She loves helping her clients build meaningful skills and takes pride in watching them grow and blossom over time—especially in communication, play, and social development. 💙

When she’s not at the clinic, you can find Amber reading a good book, enjoying iced coffee, listening to K-pop and Broadway musicals, or participating in theater during the summer.

We’re so grateful to have Amber as part of our team!

Happy First Day of Spring! 🌷☀️ We’re so excited to welcome a new season of growth, fresh air, and fun traditions!

Spring celebrations are so much fun—but they can also be overwhelming for some children. With just a few simple, affordable adjustments, you can make the celebration more sensory-friendly and enjoyable for everyone.

🥚 Rethink the egg hunt.
Consider smaller groups, staggered start times, or clearly visible eggs to reduce stress. You can even offer a “quiet hunt” without whistles or loud countdowns.

🎨 Offer flexible decorating options.
Not all kids love messy textures or strong smells. Try stickers instead of dye, paintbrushes instead of finger painting, or provide gloves for comfort. Giving choices makes a big difference!

🧺 Build a sensory-friendly basket.
Swap loud or overly stimulating toys for fidgets, books, puzzles, bubbles, or other calming tools that support regulation and fun.

A few thoughtful changes can help every child enjoy Spring traditions in a way that feels safe, comfortable, and joyful. 💛

🌈 Rainbow Day at the Clinic! 🌈

Our team showed up bright and colorful for Rainbow Day, and the smiles say it all! From rainbow outfits to lots of laughter throughout the day, it was a fun reminder that a little color can make the day even brighter.
