👶 Baby Steps to a Better Baton Rouge
The Birth Center of Baton Rouge is taking baby steps toward a bigger impact! 💜
From November 10 through December 31, we’re hosting a food drive to benefit the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank — and we need your help to make a difference. Together, we can take small steps toward ending food insecurity right here in our community.
🛒 Most Needed Items:
Shelf-stable foods such as:
🥜 Peanut butter
🥫 Canned meats, beans, fruits, vegetables & soups
🍝 Pasta, rice, oatmeal
🥤 Fruit juice, nuts, granola & protein bars
✨ Every can, box, and bag helps fill a neighbor’s table, and brings us one step closer to a better Baton Rouge.
📍 Drop off your donations at the Birth Center of Baton Rouge between 11/10–12/31. Mon-Thurs 8 AM - 4 PM and Friday 8 AM - 12 PM.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 2:00 PM and head to the Expo for the 3rd Annual Birth Center of Baton Rouge Diaper Dash with The Louisiana Marathon! 🏅

This adorable competition is open to little ones aged 2 and under and is sure to be the most adorable event of the weekend.

Watch as tiny racers crawl their way across a 10-foot course to see who takes the top spot! Parents are welcome to bring along a favorite toy, pacifier, or any other eye-catching item to help motivate their mini-athletes toward the finish line.

Staying well-hydrated is essential during pregnancy. Aim to drink 8 to 12 cups (64 to 96 ounces) of water each day.
A simple way to drink more water is to keep a water bottle with you at all times—at home, at work, and on the go! 🚗

Water plays a key role in supporting your health and your baby’s development 🤰
-Supports healthy digestion
-Helps create amniotic fluid around your baby
-Aids in delivering nutrients throughout your body
-Assists in flushing out waste

*To clarify, Dr Dickerson is retiring from OB but the birth center is staying open. Our model of care is not changing. We made this announcement to reassure our clients who had heard rumors and expressed concern.*

You may have heard the Birth Center is going through changes, but rest assured we are not going anywhere! Even though we have some changes on the horizon, we plan to remain open for generations to come. We are forever grateful for the support of our physicians and community thus far and are thankful for the continued support and partnerships we have in place as we move forward.
