💓 Do you know what your blood pressure numbers really mean?

When you check your blood pressure, you get two numbers:

1️⃣ Systolic (top number): The pressure in your arteries when your heart squeezes to pump blood. Think of it as a snapshot of how hard your heart is working.
2️⃣ Diastolic (bottom number): The pressure in your arteries when your heart rests between beats. This shows how much strain is on your blood vessels when your heart is at rest.

Together, these numbers tell you how hard your heart is working and the pressure on your arteries. If either number stays consistently high, it’s called hypertension, which can damage organs and lead to serious health problems over time.

Maintaining a healthy balance between systolic and diastolic pressure helps reduce strain on your heart and supports long-term cardiovascular health. ❤️
