Update:

David is doing great! He is able to put pressure on his foot and have zero pain in his hip! This hasn't been the case for 2 months! He still has pain in his incisions but that is to be expected. Working on getting him in PT so he can start walking again!

Thank you for all of your love and support!

Hello All! We have been crazy busy with relocating to Bali for 3 months, coming back(without nick) to the US for cancer scans and x-rays, being in CA,WA/OR and managing homeschooling.

I wanted to reach out to ask for prayers for David as he is going in for yet another surgery. They will be removing all the hardware from his leg and replacing it. He hasn't been able to walk in 2 months because of pain in his hip(where he broke it in December) also, there has been no growth between his femur and tibia. The surgery should help promote that bone growth as well as get rid of the hip pain 🤞
He is in good spirits and is looking forward to walking again! However, surgery takes a toll on all of us and even though he is putting on a brave face, I can see his anxiety in other ways. Please pray for peace for him as well as Nick, Daniel and myself!

Thank you!

Hello All!
Things have been busy with PT and prosthetic fittings around here but all very positive and headed in the right direction!
David got to turn in his temporary prosthetic on 5/4 (he named it "Reliable Joe")
He gets to pick up his permanent leg on 5/16!
We are so excited!

Hello Friends!
Aside from the whole family getting covid last month and another postponed port removal, everything has been going smoothly.
We have his 3 month scans coming up on Friday! Praying it all comes out clear!
David is so close to getting his prosthesis!
Monday he goes in for alignment and then Friday for PT. This is when things start moving! He will be going to PT 1x a day for the following week and then 2x a day for the week after. Followed by 3x a week for the next 2 weeks. This should get him to a point where he can walk again!
For now, I will keep him bubble wrapped so he doesn't break any more bones.

I am so sorry that yesterday didn't go as planned. Luckily we had some amazing photographers to capture everything and his story will air on KGW channel 8(Portland) tonight at 5:15!
