🌟 December 1st: A New Month of Comfort & Care 🌟

As we step into December, we’re reminded that this season is about presence, not presents — and that’s exactly what hospice provides.

At Comfort Care Hospice , our team walks beside families during one of life’s most important chapters, offering:

Comfort-focused nursing care

Emotional and spiritual support

Medication & equipment delivered right to the home

Guidance for families, so no one feels alone

A team available 24/7 — even on holidays

Hospice isn’t about giving up.
It’s about choosing comfort, dignity, and more meaningful moments with the people we love.

As December begins, we’re honored to serve our 13 counties with compassion, education, and the heart of a small-town team that truly cares. 💙

If you ever have questions about hospice — for a patient, a family member, or someone in the community — I’m always here to help.

🧡 Happy Thanksgiving from Comfort Care Hospice 🧡

Today our hearts are full.
We’re so thankful for our patients, their families, our dedicated team, and the many wonderful communities across all 13 counties that continue to love, support, and uplift one another.

There’s something special about the towns we serve — places where neighbors still check in, small businesses pour their hearts into their work, and people show up when it matters most.
Being part of these communities is a blessing we never take lightly.

From our Comfort Care Hospice family to yours,
Happy Thanksgiving.
May your day be filled with warmth, peace, and the people who mean the very most. 🧡✨

✨ Community Remembrance Tree ✨
We’re starting a brand-new Christmas tradition at Comfort Care Hospice , and we would love for our community to be part of it.

This year, we’re filling our Remembrance Tree with ornaments that honor the loved ones we miss — those who made our lives brighter, left a mark on our hearts, and deserve to be remembered in a beautiful way.

This is open to everyone in our community.
If you’d like to place an ornament on our tree in memory of someone special, you can drop one off on December 5th (or anytime that week).

It can be simple, handmade, personalized, or store-bought… whatever reminds you of them. Every ornament tells a story — and together, they’ll make a tree full of love and light.

🎄 Where: Comfort Care Hospice, Baxley
🎄 When: December 5th (or any time that week)
🎄 Pick Up: You may take your ornament back after Christmas, or we can lovingly keep it for next year’s tree.

If you have questions, message us or call 912-402-8326.
Drop a 💛 in the comments if you’re remembering someone special this season.

Let’s fill this tree with love and make it a tradition our whole community can cherish.

“Just a small act of kindness today reminded me what Thanksgiving really means — giving, loving, and lifting someone’s spirit when you can.

We put together a Thanksgiving basket with all the trimmings (ham included) and were able to bless a family who needed a little extra comfort this season.

Grateful for moments like this and the chance to share a little love during the holidays.”** 🧡🦃🕊️

🎉 Birthday Smiles at Lumber City Care Center ! 🎉

Today we got to celebrate three of the sweetest birthday folks at Lumber City care center, and y’all… they absolutely made our day. 🥰

A little joking, a little storytelling, and a whole lot of smiles — that’s what today was all about. Each one of them has a personality that shines, and we’re just blessed we get to be part of these moments. 💙

Comfort Care Hospice loves celebrating life’s simple joys, and these three reminded us just how special a birthday can be when you’re surrounded by people who care.

Drop some birthday love in the comments for these beautiful souls! 🎂✨💛

✨ A Heartfelt Thank You ✨

Today our Comfort Care Hospice family was truly loved on by two incredible small businesses right here in our community. 💙

A huge thank you to Lisa Ammons Pearce for blessing us with the most AMAZING homemade chocolate cake filled with bourbon pecan pie goodness. Y’all… it was heavenly! 🍫🥧 Her heart, and her generosity made our whole team smile today.

And a big thank you to Baxley Wellness Pharmacy for surprising us with a delicious pecan and nut tray. 🥜🍁 It was the perfect treat and such a thoughtful gesture of support.

Moments like these remind us why we love our small town so much — our community shows up, supports one another, and wraps each other in kindness. When local businesses pour love into local people, it creates something truly special.

We are grateful. We are humbled. And we are proud to be part of a community that cares this deeply. 💛

Thank you, Lisa Pearce and Baxley Wellness Pharmacy, for blessing our team today!

We had our little Thanksgiving lunch at the office today, and even though I didn’t get pictures of all the smiles and laughter, I did manage to catch the real star of the show… the food. 😄🦃💛

Good food, good conversation, and a team with good hearts — that’s what today was all about.

I’m so thankful for the girls I get to work beside every day. They love our patients, love our families, and love each other so well.

Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at Comfort Care Hospice . 🤍
May your homes be filled with the same warmth we felt around our table today.

🌾 National Rural Health Day! 🌾

Where the tractors are fast… and the WiFi is not. 😅

But seriously — today is all about celebrating the strength, grit, and big-hearted people who make up our rural communities. And if anyone knows what rural healthcare looks like up close… it’s hospice.

A Little Rural Health Education (the fun version):

• In rural towns, your closest specialist might be “Dr. Google” until you can get a ride.
• Directions to a patient’s house usually include, “turn left at the cow.”
• Providers don’t just know your name — they know your momma, your grandpa, and your dog.
• And yes… our nurses absolutely drive on roads that shouldn’t be called roads.

Why Hospice Matters Even More Out Here:

• We bring care to the home — because long drives can be tough on patients and their families.
• Our team fills in the gaps rural families often face: transportation, access to resources, caregiver burnout.
• We’re the extra help, extra hands, and extra heart when families need it most.
• No matter how far down the dirt road you live, comfort and dignity should always reach you.

Today, we celebrate the people who keep rural healthcare going — and the families who trust us to care for their loved ones.
Comfort Care Hospice is proud to serve our small towns, back roads, and front-porch communities. 💙🤍

🍁 Thanksgiving is approaching fast… and sometimes we all need the reminder. 🍁

Life gets busy. The holidays come rushing in. And in the middle of the cooking, planning, working, and trying to keep up…
we forget what this season is really about:

Gratitude.
Connection.
And slowing down long enough to feel thankful for the small things again.

At Comfort Care Hospice , we are grateful every single day for:
💙 The honor of caring for our patients in their most meaningful moments
💙 The families who trust us to walk beside them
💙 The caregivers giving everything they have, even on the hard days
💙 Our community, who continuously shows what true kindness looks like

But today, we want to shift the focus to you.

As Thanksgiving approaches, what is something you’re truly thankful for this year?
Not the big fancy answers… but the real ones.
A person. A moment. A blessing that carried you through.

Your words might encourage someone else reading this.
And together, we can bring the heart of Thanksgiving back to the center where it belongs.

From all of us at Comfort Care Hospice — we’re grateful for you. 🕊️💛
