Fire Residue Testing:
EAA is an industry leader in Wildfire / Structure Fire Residue testing. Wildfire combustion particles are a complex mixture of cellulose vegetation, burned soil, residual salts, crystalline calcium and silica vegetation particles (phytoliths). Structure fires have a different particle distribution, typically with higher ratios of soot particles and other melted plastics, paint and metals. Quantifying airborne and surface fire combustion contamination is a multi-step process requiring a full range of Reflected Light Stereo Microscopy, Reflected Light Dark Field Microscopy, Bright Field & Polarized Light Microscopy. Combustion particles can be separated into four basic combustion categories (soot, char, ash and indicator particles).
Results & Fast Turn-around Times:
EAA results are reported in both ratio % and surface concentrations (particles/mm2). EAA is able to provide emergency analysis during weekends and after-hours if needed with the ability to handle large quantities.
