Our biggest ramp of the year is now complete, thanks to UA Local 85 and all the volunteers! This was out 9th accessible ramp of 2025. We accept ramp applications yearround which are available at our website. A ramp application can also be requested from Disability Services Resource Center by calling 989-895-5444 Mon-Thurs 9a-4p.

UA Local 85 did it for us again this year! Today they came out to help construct 2 accessible ramps for people in need in Bay Co. Additional thanks to DSRC's volunteer ramp crew: Dean, Will, and Allan. One more ramp tomorrow and one next Tuesday then we will close up the wood shop for the winter til 2026.

Guess what happened at DSRC today ... four more ramps were pre-built and are ready for Bay Co. residents who applied and qualified to receive these ramps in a couple weeks. Special thanks to our volunteers and extra help from Local 362!!

ROUND UP for Change fundraiser going on through 10/31/25 at Goodwill Industries of Mid-Michigan Wilder & Euclid location in Bay City. Every rounded up donation goes to Disability Services Resource Center to help those with disabilities in Bay County with Adaptive Sports, Ramps, Summer Enrichment Programs, Disability Awareness Training, and Durable Medical Equipment Loan Closet. Stop by anytime to support those in need.

Local painting assistance sought ... DSRC has a couple small painting jobs needing to be done before the snow flies (3 exterior metal doors and touch-ups inside DSRC). We can reimburse for the cost of supplies needed to complete the task. Qualified, interested, and available? What a beautiful day to build ramps! Thanks to Nexteer Automotive and about 60 volunteers for building 5 ramps for Bay Co. residents in need. There are some very happy homeowners who needed a ramp to get in and out from their homes safely. Grant funds from Squires Foundation and Huntington National Bank helped to offset some of the costs for materials. Are you a Bay Co. homeowner in need of a ramp?
