The U.S. Department of Education's proposal to cap student loans for SRNAs/RRNAs at $100,000 in aggregate will have a catastrophic impact on the pipeline of future CRNAs and worsen already dire anesthesia provider shortages, exacerbating access gaps for patients in the most underserved areas.

Several members received a CRNAdvocacy Alert from President Jeff Molter on 11/18 with instructions to take action. Please participate in this critical action if you were called to do so. If you are not in one of these states/districts, you will be asked to participate once the proposed rule has been released, so stay tuned to AANA channels for more information.
