beBhakti Yoga Center in Beacon, NY is the realization of a dream: to create a sacred, playful space for all to experience Bhakti. Bhakti in Sanskrit means to love or to devote. It is the awareness that to love others, and ourselves involves not only practice, but also the action of surrender. Getting to know ourselves on the mat helps us practice connecting to our fullest potential off the mat. Beacon represents a sacred place in nature, where the water meets the mountains signifying union. A place just within us, that creates oneness. Be devoted to loving yourself

Welcoming two restorative yoga classes to BeBhakti!
In contrast to most yoga asana practices, which involve muscular effort, yin yoga uses gentle passive pressure in longer-held seated or lying-down postures to address deeper tissues, such as the extensive, intricate web of fascia which provides support and space for the structures of the body. The intention of yin yoga is to bring awareness to and release physical and energetic restrictions in deeper tissues. In addition to physically complementing yang forms of yoga and other exercise, yin cultivates mental calmness by emphasizing receptivity, softness, and sustained attention.
