I have three moms due this month and every last one is tired of being pregnant and wants these babies OUT !

Ahh, the woes of motherhood! Its such hard work growing a baby from scratch!

Don’t worry, mommies. The babies will be here before you know it ❤️

If you know, you know 😭🤣🤦🏾‍♀️ why are we like this?! I used to be in school looking like a honey 🍯 bun and now im doing the same thing to my kids 😭🤦🏾‍♀️

I cant help it, its muscle memory at this point. They gotta stay warm and fight the dry skin!

Mama from lastnights post is in prodromal labor! So its almost baby time, but not just yet!

🤰🏾What is prodromal labor? And why does it happen?

Prodromal labor is the body’s way of warming up for active labor. It happens when contractions start becoming noticeable and sometimes even regular, but they don’t progress into full labor yet.

It occurs because the uterus and cervix are getting ready for birth. the cervix may be softening, thinning, or starting to dilate a little, and the baby may be moving into a better position.

Think of it as your body’s practice round before the real, active labor begins 💛

🙌🏾 THIS is why its so important and I stress to all my mamas that they do not (and should not) head into the hospital at the first sign of what they believe could be labor.

The process could take days. And the second the hospital admits you, the cascade of interventions begins.

Its best to monitor and keep comfortable at home unless something is truly wrong like loss of fluid, bleeding, decreased fetal movement, etc.

This mom did all the right things and she stayed calm and tuned in to her body. And because of that, I believe when its show time she will have that unmediated birth she is desiring ❤️

Just got that “is this labor?” late evening text from one of my mamas!

Based on her symptoms and the longevity, it very well could be! Contractions are starting at 3 minutes apart and she is not able to ignore them.

For now we are focusing on her being comfortable and well rested and soon enough, comfort measures will be in full force if its the real deal.

Showering, eating, boys are asleep and I have my scrubs and badge nearby just in case this little baby tries to pull a fast 💨 one 👀. Good thing I took a nap!!

Mama is a trooper.

The suspense never gets old. I love my job!

International Multiple Birth Awareness Week

This week is International Multiple Birth Awareness Week, and I’m celebrating the beauty and triumphs of families like ours who show up, sacrifice, and love fiercely… times two (or three…or more 🤍).

As a twin mom, I know firsthand the sacred miracle and the sheer power it takes to raise multiples.

The double snuggles, the double milestones, the way they find each other’s hands before they even find their own feet. 🥹

But I also know the nights of thinking,
“How in the world am I going to do this again tomorrow?”

The village it requires.
The patience it demands.
The love that just keeps multiplying. 💛

To every family of multiples: you are doing the impossible every single day. And it’s showing.

Today I opened our first pack of pull-ups for our twins… and suddenly I’m right back in that familiar place of potty training, cheering for tiny victories, and realizing just how quickly time moves. 💛

It feels like yesterday we were celebrating these little humans taking their first breaths and now they are taking big steps toward more independence.

Parenting is funny like that… the days can feel long, but the milestones sneak up on you and tug at your heart.

I’m grateful for every stage we’ve grown through with all three of my babies.

And I love supporting other families as they navigate these transitions too. From newborn snuggles to toddler triumphs, we’re all learning and unfolding together. ✨

Growing up happens fast… but so does love. 💕 I am in awe of it all.
