At approximately 9:30 this morning, shortly after Youngsville Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire, our department was dispatched to a reported structure fire on Teal Hill Road in Sugar Grove Township. While en route, crews were advised that the fire was actively spreading throughout the residence.
Upon arrival, the initial on-scene report described a single-story residential structure with smoke showing from both gable ends and the roof. Crews quickly deployed a handline and were able to achieve a rapid knockdown, successfully containing the fire to the area of origin and preventing further extension.
We are extremely proud of the teamwork, professionalism, and dedication displayed by all personnel on scene today. A sincere thank you to the members of Lander, Wrightsville, Bear Lake, Russell, City of Warren, Busti, Youngsville, Sugar Grove, Fire Coordinators Doug McClain and Jordan Bailey, and Koebley Towing for their outstanding mutual aid response. Your service, cooperation, and commitment were truly commendable, a great stop by all involved.
