🕯️ It’s Almost Here – Our Annual Remembrance Service

In just a few days, we’ll gather together to remember, reflect, and honor the loved ones who continue to live on in our hearts.

This evening holds deep meaning for our team and the families we serve. It’s a chance to pause, share memories, and find comfort in the strength of community and connection.

Join us on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at 5:30 PM for a night filled with light, love, and remembrance.
Light refreshments will be served following the service. ❤️

🎄 BEARDSTOWN Christmas FOOD BASKET DISTRIBUTION 🎄

The Beardstown Food Basket Committee will be giving food baskets to deserving families in the Beardstown community on Saturday, December 20.

Eligibility: Unemployed, low-income, or senior citizens.

To Register: fill out the google form (we encourage you to do this first before calling ) or Call the Beardstown First United Methodist Church office at (217) 323-1257
Office Hours: Monday–Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Registration Deadline:
Now through Thursday December 4, or until 200 baskets have been reserved.
Baskets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Delivery:
You must be home between 7:30 and 10:00 a.m. on December 20 to receive your basket and Beardstown residence only at this time.

In loving memory of Matt Rains.

And when his journey here came to an end, he did just what he'd always said he wanted - he rode off into the sunset on his horse, leaving behind love, laughter, and a trail that will never fade.

Per his requests, Matt will be cremated and a private gathering will take place at a later date. Colwell Memorial Home in Beardstown is assisting the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Shawnee Trail Conservancy, one of Matt's favorite places to ride; to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, in honor of his annual participation in the Saddle Up for St. Jude ride; or to the Beardstown Christian Academy Scholarship Foundation, all in care of Colwell Memorial Home, 515 S.
